Photokore
Photokore is a royalty free stock photography site dedicated to offering the best Asian images to the world, and high quality global images to the Asian market. We aim to create a visual creative community that spans the globe, not only to buy and sell images, but also to discuss design and produce better images together. In order to achieve this goal, we presently provide services in four languages – English, Japanese, Chinese-Simplified, and Korean. Photokore also offers image search in Hindi, Indonesian, Thai, Filipino, Spanish, French and German.Photokore is the first creative community website that is focused on the needs of users in Asia. We are dedicated to promoting Asian creativity throughout the world, and providing a platform for talented non-Asian artists to expose their works in one of the fastest growing regions in the world – Asia! Photokore enables members to upload their images for sale, and to easily download safe, inspiring, hand-selected images at affordable prices.
Our Name
The meaning of ‘Photo’ is obvious. But, in case you were curious… the “kore” in the Photokore name is a play on four words:- • Core - which in English means ‘center’ , ‘heart’, ‘focal point’,
- • コレ - ‘ko-re’, which in Japanese is short for ‘collection’,
- • Kor - the first three letters in ‘Korea’,
- • 库尔 - ‘ku er’ (which in Chinese means ‘storage here’).
